Longmont Supply: Why this New Rooftop Spot Is Worth Exploring

Longmont Supply: Rooftop Cocktails, Colorado-Inspired Dining, and Mountain Views in Downtown Longmont

Colorado-inspired flavors, colorful cocktails, and a fresh perspective on downtown Longmont.

Sometimes, all it takes to feel like you’ve had a “break” is a change of scenery, a couple of good cocktails, and somewhere interesting to spend an afternoon.

That was the idea behind our recent visit to Longmont Supply, a rooftop restaurant and bar at Hotel Longmont in downtown Longmont, Colorado.

We stopped by to check out the space, enjoy a few drinks, and share some appetizers. Between the comfortable seating, colorful cocktails, and rooftop setting, it was an easy place to settle in and enjoy the afternoon.

We love sharing these are the kinds of local discoveries!

Longmont already has plenty of personality, from its independent businesses to its historic downtown streets. With its fifth-floor location, inviting atmosphere, and creative menu, Longmont Supply brings something fresh to downtown Longmont.

What Is Longmont Supply?

Longmont Supply is a rooftop restaurant and bar located on the fifth floor of Hotel Longmont at 508 3rd Avenue.

Longmont Supply draws inspiration from Colorado’s Front Range, bringing regional flavors and creative drinks together in a contemporary rooftop setting.

Its setting is part of the appeal.

Rather than occupying a traditional Main Street storefront, Longmont Supply sits above downtown, with an indoor dining room, bar, and outdoor rooftop terrace (and amazing mountain views!)

The restaurant’s official website describes a concept built around the region’s farms, forests, and waterways, combined with the independent spirit of Longmont.

Together, the food and setting give the restaurant its own personality. The menu reflects Colorado influences, while the surroundings offer a contemporary take on a local gathering place.

You can stop by for a cocktail, share something from the appetizer menu, or make a dinner reservation and spend more time exploring the restaurant’s seasonal offerings.

For us, the appeal was simple. We wanted to experience the new restaurant, enjoy a few appetizers, and see what made the rooftop setting worth exploring.

Inside Longmont Supply: Cocktails, Conversation, and a Relaxed Afternoon

Overhead view of a cheese and charcuterie board, crispy chips with dip, and refreshing cocktails on the sunny rooftop patio at Longmont Supply in downtown Longmont, Colorado.

There is something satisfying about finding a restaurant where you can order a few appetizers, settle into a comfortable seat, and let the conversation take its own direction.

For us, this means a chance to catch up, sample a few appetizers, and enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed.

The space has a contemporary Western influence without leaning too heavily into rustic decorations. Warm materials, interesting textures, and colorful upholstery give the dining area character.

The drinks were just as eye-catching as the surroundings.

It is the kind of setup that encourages everyone to sample a little of everything.

Instead of rushing through a full meal, you can order a few things, talk, and enjoy being somewhere different.

That is often what makes a casual afternoon memorable.

What Makes Longmont Supply Different?

Longmont has no shortage of places to eat or grab a drink.

However, Longmont Supply brings together a few elements that distinguish it from a typical downtown restaurant.

A Rooftop Perspective on Downtown Longmont

The fifth-floor location is one of its defining features.

Hotel Longmont highlights the restaurant’s Rocky Mountain views, while the property also includes an open-air rooftop terrace.

That gives visitors another way to experience the city.

Most visitors explore downtown Longmont on foot, stopping at shops, restaurants, galleries, and breweries along the way.

Here, you have the opportunity to enjoy the surroundings from above.

Of course, Colorado weather has a say in rooftop plans. Wind, afternoon storms, and colder temperatures can change how comfortable an outdoor visit feels.

The indoor dining room provides another option when the weather does not cooperate.

A Menu With Colorado Influences

The restaurant’s food concept draws from regional ingredients and the flavors of the American West.

The menu features a selection of shareable appetizers and larger dishes inspired by regional flavors. Offerings may vary throughout the year as the restaurant updates its selections.

The drink selection includes creative cocktails alongside familiar favorites, giving guests several options to explore.

Menus and availability can change, so checking the restaurant’s current offerings before visiting is worthwhile.

A Restaurant Connected to a New Downtown Hotel

Longmont Supply is also part of a larger addition to the city.

Hotel Longmont opened in 2026 at the corner of 3rd Avenue and Kimbark Street, adding accommodations, dining, and gathering spaces to downtown Longmont.

According to the City of Longmont, the development is a downtown project involving the city, the Longmont Downtown Development Authority, and private development partners.

Hotel Longmont welcomes overnight visitors, while Longmont Supply gives locals and hotel guests a place to gather for food, drinks, and conversation.

That combination is especially interesting in a downtown known for its independent businesses and community character.

Food and Drinks at Longmont Supply

One of the enjoyable parts of a restaurant visit is deciding whether to try something familiar or order something you would not normally make at home.

Longmont Supply gives you room to do both.

If you are visiting with friends, ordering a few appetizers to share is an easy way to sample different flavors while enjoying the conversation.

If cocktails are part of your plans, take a look at the restaurant’s current drink selection. You may find familiar favorites alongside creative combinations, with other beverages available for different preferences.

Rather than recommending one particular order, we would suggest browsing the current menu and choosing what sounds interesting that day.

Sometimes the fun is in trying something new.

Make Longmont Supply Part of a Downtown Longmont Afternoon

One of the advantages of visiting Longmont Supply is its location.

You do not have to treat the restaurant as your only stop.

Downtown Longmont offers an appealing mix of historic buildings, independent shops, public art, restaurants, and places to spend time outside.

According to Visit Longmont, the downtown area includes a National Historic District and a Colorado Certified Creative District.

That combination gives the area a distinct identity.

Older buildings reflect Longmont’s commercial history, while contemporary businesses, galleries, and creative spaces keep the streets active.

Start With a Walk Along Main Street

Before heading to the restaurant, spend some time exploring Main Street.

Browse the storefronts, stop for coffee, or look for a local shop you have not visited before.

The Longmont Downtown Development Authority maintains a business directory that can help you discover current retailers, restaurants, and other destinations.

You do not need a shopping list to enjoy the experience- sometimes browsing is the entire point!

Look for Public Art and Creative Spaces

Longmont has invested in public art throughout the community, including murals and other installations.

The city’s Art in Public Places program offers another reason to pay attention while exploring downtown.

A short walk can turn into a casual art outing, especially when you take time to notice details that are easy to overlook during a regular weekday.

The downtown creative district also connects art, culture, and local businesses in a way that makes wandering worthwhile.

Finish With Drinks or Dinner Upstairs

After exploring Main Street’s shops, galleries, and local businesses, head upstairs to Longmont Supply for a relaxed meal or a round of cocktails.

If you are planning an evening visit, the rooftop setting offers an appealing place to spend time as the light changes.

Just remember that outdoor seating may depend on weather and availability.

Planning Your Visit to Longmont Supply

A little practical information can make a spontaneous outing easier.

  • Address: 508 3rd Avenue, Longmont, CO 80501
  • Location: Fifth floor of Hotel Longmont
  • Dining: Rooftop restaurant and bar offering food and drinks. Check the official website for current menus and service hours.
  • Website: Official Longmont Supply website

The restaurant’s website is the most useful place to confirm current hours, menus, reservations, and special events.

If you are hoping for outdoor seating or a particular view, contact the restaurant before arriving rather than assuming a specific table will be available.

Parking is another detail worth checking.

The Longmont Downtown Development Authority reports that downtown public parking is free, although weekday time limits apply in designated spaces and lots.

Weekend public parking generally does not have those time limits. However, hotel and private parking arrangements may differ, so follow posted signs.

You can review the official downtown parking information before your visit.

For the most flexible outing, leave yourself enough time to walk around downtown rather than planning everything down to the minute.

Final Thoughts: A New Favorite Stop in Downtown Longmont?

Our visit to Longmont Supply was a chance to enjoy good company, try something new, and spend an afternoon in a setting that feels a little different from the usual downtown restaurant.

Between the creative cocktails, shareable appetizers, and inviting atmosphere, there was plenty to enjoy without making elaborate plans.

Whether you are already familiar with downtown Longmont or looking for somewhere new to explore, Longmont Supply is worth adding to your list.
